The Why

When we should have been playing our Junior year homecoming football game, we were instead locked down in the high school locker room due to a nearby armed kidnapping that jeopardized everyone’s safety. Fans were sent away, and the game was not played.  After that night, we decided to turn our fears into action. 

As a community-led grassroots group, we are mobilizing the power of youth and residents to support the school referendum through door-to-door campaigning and phone banking. Our mission is to encourage community members to vote YES so Mahtomedi Public Schools can avoid crowded classrooms, offer more class options, and upgrade building entrances to protect students from harm. 

Every student deserves a quality education and access to activities in a safe environment, and we’re campaigning to make it happen!

The Plan

With a very quick turnaround time, we are organizing Mahtomedi High School students to support the upcoming school referendum through door-to-door campaigning and phone banking. Our mission is to encourage community members to vote early and YES on the upcoming school referendum on November 4, 2025, which will positively impact our school and community.
